The integrator plays an important role in analog circuits and pulse digital circuits for applications in waveform transformation,phase shift,elimination of the offset voltage,etc.However,the zero drift introduced by the operational amplifier and the inherent leakage error generated in the charging and discharging process of the capacitor,makes the traditional RC integrator unable to achieve long-term integration function with high precision.In order to solve this problem,many improved schemes based on RC integrators are designed and widely used in integration circuit of tokamak device,but the cost of these improved solutions is more complicated circuit and higher power consumption,and can't solve the leakage error caused by the introduction of capacitor.On the other hand,with the continuous development of spintronics,people's exploration of its application field,that is,spintronic devices have also attracted extensive attention.Spintronic devices are widely used in memory and logic applications in digital circuits because of their good scalability and significant endurance.In the field of analog circuits,the improvement and even replacement of traditional analog electronic components have not yet been explored,and this greatly inspired us to try to find applications in the integrator function in the field of spintronic devices.Fortunately,we have successfully proposed a new type of integrator that can replace the traditional RC integrator using spintronic devices.We call it a spin integrator or SOT-integrator.It utilizes spin orbit torque(SOT)to push the movement of the magnetic domain wall to achieve the integral function.The related changes of the magnetoresistance due to the continuous movement of the magnetic domain wall will be encoded as an output analog signal,which is modulated by the input current through the SOT effect.The spin integrator can prove through experiments that it also has the functions of waveform transformation and phase shift.The spin integrator provides a new strategy to improve the performance of the integrator.It successfully solves the error problems of zero drift and capacitance leakage of the traditional integrator,while reducing the area and power consumption.And it also has an integral time constant that can be changed.This great work expands the application of spin electronic devices in analog circuits.
