Fused silica,as a low-dissipation material,is widely used in high-precision gravitational experiments such as gravitational wave measurement,determination of G value with time-of-swing method,inverse-square-law test,and equivalent principle test.The research group currently uses tungsten fiber or hand-drawn fused silica fiber as the traditional twisted wire.The tungsten fiber has a low Q value.With the improvement of experimental accuracy,it can no longer meet the accuracy requirements.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop high-Q fused silica fiber drawing equipment and study the fused silica fiber preparation process.This subject aims to improve the traditional flame melting drawing method,proposes a drawing scheme using CO2 laser melting,determines the key parameters of fused silica fiber drawing,and customizes the equipment.On this basis,the study focuses on the craft of preparation of high-Q fused silica fiber.This dissertation firstly explains the principle of the laser fusion drawing scheme,analyzes the factors that may affect the Q value of the fused silica fiber,and establishes the laser heating model and the silica material fusion flow model in the fused silica fiber drawing process,which provides a theoretical basis for the laser fusion drawing process.Secondly,this article briefly introduces the design scheme of drawing fused silica fiber based on CO2 laser melting fused silica rod,explains the process of fused silica fiber drawing,determines the technical parameters of fused silica fiber drawing equipment and designs a specific implementation method with the cooperative enterprise,finally successfully developed equipment.Thirdly,this paper explores the specific process of fused silica fiber drawing,sets specific process parameters from the model,and then successfully prepares the fused silica fiber using the development equipment,and preliminary verification of some process parameters.Compared with the traditional flame-based melting and manual drawing methods,the work in this paper has successfully enhanced the stability and repeatability of fused silica fiber formation,and provides preliminary theoretical basis and experiments for the realization of high-Q fused silica fiber drawing process verification.This paper also analyzes some problems in the current fused silica fiber drawing equipment and process,and proposes corresponding solutions.In the next step,we need to measure the Q value of the sample produced based on the laser melting drawing scheme,study the influence of the fused silica fiber drawing process on the Q value and further improve the fused silica fiber drawing process parameters.
