Wenchuan,Yushu, and Lushan county lying in the Southwest of China have suffered severe geological disasters in recent years, such as the earthquake.Geological disasters not only caused economic losses and casualties, but also destroyed the areas' original geo-ecological structure and functions, especially in geo-ecologically sensitive mountain towns. Moreover,a series of secondary disasters, such as landslides and soil collapse, always pose a major threat to local geological ecology. Therefore, prevention and control measures, including the assessment of post-disaster recovery and reconstruction, should be attached more importance, otherwise, the geological ecology will face the risk of collapse. After analyzing the concepts of geological disasters and geo-ecology,this paper built up a geo-ecological footprint model by adding the impact of geo-ecological considerations on the traditional model.By evaluating the geo-ecological restoration in Lushan,Tianquan, and Baoxing county in Sichuan Province from 2010 to 2017,this paper took Lushan,Tianquan, and Baoxing county 's geo-ecology changes in time series, quantitatively studying the degree of geo-ecological restoration in the post-disaster area.Based on the footprint model, this paper further constructed a mountain geoecological model, combining with ecological restoration index and economic restoration index, including ecological pressure index, ecological sustainability index,10,000 yuan GDP ecological footprint, ecological and economic coordination degree to further the Lushan earthquake heavy disaster area analysis of geo-ecological restoration assessment. The results showed that geological disasters had long-term and both positive and negative impacts on the geo-ecology of mountain towns, especially in agricultural land and forest.Specifically, the geo-ecological footprint per capita of Lushan county saw a downturn, the geo-ecological deficits per capita decreased slightly, and the geo-ecological restoration has been gradually repaired. From the perspective of comprehensively evaluating the geo-ecological restoration, the economic restoration index shows that due to the economic development of the three counties, the efficiency of resource utilization has gradually transformed to be more sustainable. However, when considering the geo-ecological restoration index, the three counties still saw an unsustainable development, reflected by high ecological pressure.Although the post-disaster geo-ecological restoration has achieved some results,it still requires efforts to achieve the goal of geo-ecological sustainability. However, combining with the prediction of the geo-ecological footprint model,Lushan County will not reach geological and geo-ecological balance until 2025,and geo-ecological restoration has a long way to go.Based on this, the paper proposed a strategy for future geo-ecological restoration in Lushan County from aspects including the construction of landscape patterns, the development of prevention and mitigation strategies, and the construction of more restoration projects. Moreover, this paper discussed the geological ecology in the context of COVID-19,thinking about constructing a healthy city that could provided guidance for building up geo-ecological security pattern after a disaster..
