Multi-granulation rough set is an important extension model of rough set,which pro vides convenience for the study of concept approximation under multiple relations.This paper mainly studies the intuitionistic fuzzy information system,using the generalized multi-granulation rough set theory as a tool,and studies generalized multi-granulation intuitionistic fuzzy rough set model based on tolerance relation.For the intuitionistic fuzzy information system,according to the support characteris-tic function and an information level,a generalized multi-granulation intuitionistic fuzzy rough set based on tolerance relation is proposed,and studies the related properties,and discusses the relationship between the presented and the optimistic and pessimistic multi-granulation intuitionistic fuzzy rough set model based on tolerance relation.secondly,how to choose the optimal granulation is given in generalized multi-granulation intuitionistic fuzzy rough set based on tolerance relation,and an example is given to verify the effec-tiveness of the proposed model.Finally,the local generalized multi-granulation rough set model is studied for large-scale data set,and a matrix method is proposed to solve the upper and lower approximations of local generalized multi-granulation rough sets.The advantage of this model is that it not only considers the principle that the minority obeys the majority,but also saves a lot of calculation time.For multi-source intuitionistic fuzzy information system,two kinds of generalized multi-granulation intuitionistic fuzzy double-quantitative decision-theoretic rough sets based on tolerance relation are proposed,the uncertainty measurements and decision rules of two kinds of rough set models are studied,and the relations between the decision areas of two models are further discussed.
