The cultivation of innovative ability is the core issue of current education reform.The "Outline of the National Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan(2010-2020)" issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council puts forward urgent requirements for the cultivation of students' innovative ability.The purpose of the National Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling is to cultivate innovation ability and team spirit.Mathematical modeling competition is an important means for colleges and universities to cultivate students' innovative ability,and it is becoming more and more important in the development and construction of colleges and universities.This article takes D University ' s mathematical modeling competition as an example,obtains basic data through questionnaires,uses fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to construct the evaluation model of college students' innovation ability,conducts evaluation research,and deeply analyzes its existing problems.Then,it investigates the graduates of D University who have participated in the mathematical modeling competition,and analyzes the impact of the mathematical modeling competition on the performance of college graduates.Finally,it puts forward countermeasures for colleges and universities to effectively carry out mathematical modeling contests to promote students' innovative ability training.The research work and results are helpful to the further development of mathematical modeling competitions,and can also provide reference and reference for the evaluation of other innovative education competition projects in colleges and universities.This article first sorts out and analyzes domestic and foreign literature and research status,and then conducts research on the impact of mathematical modeling competitions on college students' innovative abilities.Questionnaires were issued to the students of D University who had participated in the mathematical modeling competition and those who had not participated in the mathematical modeling competition.The evaluation model was constructed and the empirical analysis showed that the innovative ability of the students who participated in the mathematical modeling competition was higher than that of the students who had not participated in the mathematical modeling competition.There are no significant differences in the innovation ability of college students in different genders,grades,and majors.It is also concluded that the mathematical modeling competition has the most significant impact on college students' innovative practical operation ability,followed by innovative learning ability,innovative thinking ability and innovative knowledge foundation.Finally,the research on the impact of mathematical modeling competition on the performance of college graduates is carried out.Questionnaires are issued to graduates of D University who have participated in mathematical modeling competitions,and descriptive statistical analysis,difference analysis and comparative analysis are carried out to conclude that they have participated in mathematical modeling.The salary level of the graduates of the competition is higher than the average income level of ordinary college graduates,and it has obvious advantages in performance development.After the research of this article,the participation in the mathematical modeling contest has a significant impact on the innovation ability of college students and the work performance of graduates.It is recommended that the study of mathematical modeling should be carried out more widely among college students,so as to improve the innovation ability and employ ability of students.
