Several traditional slices model for stability analysis,such as Swedish slices method,Bishop's simplified method,etc,are important method for slope stability analysis,which mainly aim at the integral landslide in the analysis and calculation.For a slope which need to take consideration of its failure mechanism such as tractive-landslide or thrust-type landslide,traditional slices method exist some disadvantages hypothesis that each slice anti force are equal is not suitable for non-integral slope.In the case of tractive-landslide,the soil near the bottom of the slope will firstly slide under the effect of excavation or ground water.However.for thrust-type landslide,the soil at the top of the slope will firstly slide by breaking through the limited equilibrium state of itself.There are some sliding orders and divers exerting of shear strength for the different section of the slope.Therefore,errors will exist when calculate the safety factor as a whole.In order to solving the thrust-type landslide and based on its failure mechanism,this paper will introduce an improved method on the basis of traditional slices mode,establish a handy slope-stability-analysis model which adapt to thrust-type landslide,and a new safety factors is defined as well.The corresponding formula for calculating the stability safety factor is deduced.Moreover,The slope stability analysis computer program of thrust-type landslide is developed.The sliding form of thrust-type landslide and frail slices can be precisely distinguished by the program.Therefore,engineers can take more rational,accurate and economical measures to strengthening the slope.By comparing and verifying the calculation cases,the safety factor obtained is usually smaller under the consideration of the thrust-type slices model.The method in this paper is recommended for thrust-type landslide when evaluating and reinforcing to the slope.
