The macro-scale geographic pattern of species richness and its causes are one of the research hotspots of macroecology and biogeography.Northeast China has a vast territory, complex and diverse ecosystems, and extremely rich resources of wildlife and plants, which is suitable for macro-scale research on richness patterns;Due to the lack of species distribution data, there are few studies on the macro-scale geographic pattern of mammals species richness in Northeast China. Therefore, this study discusses the species diversity, species richness distribution patterns of mammals in Northeast China, and threatened status of rare and endangered species,to provide a scientific basis for the protection of mammals in Northeast China.A total of 1381 species latitude and longitude data,7 orders,20 families,78 genera, and 136 mammal species distribution data and 31 environmental variables are collected.Evaluate species diversity and conservation value in Northeast China by G-F index and conservation value index. The results show that the species diversity in eastern Inner Mongolia is the highest,Heilongjiang Province has the highest conservation value,Liaoning Province is the lowest of both. The Pattern of Mammal Species Richness in Northeast China under the 50Km×50Km Equal-area Grid System show that the areas with high mammals species richness in Northeast China are Changbai Mountain,Sanjiang Plain,Greater Khingan Range and lesser khingan mountains; The Songnen Plain and the Liaohe Plain have lower species richness; The area with the lowest species richness is the coastal area of Liaoning.Hot spot research shows:The Changbai Mountains,Zhangguangcai Mountains and the central part of Greater Khingan Range are the hot spots of mammals species richness in Northeast China.Using single-factor correlation and multiple linear regression to analyze the relationship between the distribution pattern of mammals species richness and environmental factors in Northeast China. The results show that Five climatic variables, including Annual mean temperature, are important factors affecting the pattern of mammals species richness in Northeast China.Using MAXENT model to predict the potential distribution area of threatened mammals in Northeast China and gap analysis. The results show that:Greater Khingan Range, lesser khingan mountains and Changbai Mountains are areas with high species richness in potential distribution areas of threatened species. The gap analysis in areas with high abundance of threatened species are mainly distributed in Helong City,Linjiang City,Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, southern Jingyu County, northern Dunhua City, and eastern Antu County.
