The proposal and promotion of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing(DWDM)technology has brought wavelength-tunable lasers into people's vision.This thesis mainly studies the characteristics of wavelength-tunable laser based on a half-wave bow-tie coupler.First,test the indexes of a single laser.The indexes include center wavelength,tuning range,output power,relative intensity noise,and laser linewidth.Secondly,research the array module composed of the laser.The array module takes two continuous laser chip as the core.First,the chip array is mounted on the aluminum nitride substrate,then the semiconductor cooler is fixed to the PCB adapter and heat sink.Finally the aluminum nitride substrate is fixed to the semiconductor cooler.The electrical connection of the whole system is realized by wire bonding.The results show that the laser can achieve 40 continuous tuning of 100GHz channels under 25?temperature control.The center wavelength accuracy is less than ±0.1 nm.The relative intensity noise is less than-134.42dB/Hz.And the tuning electrode can maintain the wavelength accuracy within ±0.1nm.All indexes can meet the requirements of application,and the laser module have considerable social and market value.
