In order to improve China's maritime capabilities, the state has put forward the strategy of maritime power. The important aspect which connect to construction of a powerful marine country is to develop marine exploration technology, identify and exploit the amount of resources in the seabed. At present, plasma sparker,as a controllable, repeatability, and high resolution technology,is widely used in the exploration of marine resources. It can effectively verify the scope of seabed resources and the surrounding geological structure, provide technical support for the exploitation of resources. However, under the current electrode structure of tip electrode, there is a problem of low electro-acoustic conversion efficiency. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a new type of structure of pore electrode and conducts basic research. The effects of different parameters on load electrical characteristics, bubble dynamics and acoustic characteristics are mainly investigated. The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)The load electrical characteristics of the pore electrode under different parameters were studied. The results show that there is residual voltage in the pore structure. It is increase with the increase of the thickness of the insulating layer,from-0.25 kV to-0.79 kV.Besides, the increase of the number of pores cause declining of the peak voltage and current. The change of the diameter the pore and electrode diameter have little effect on the electrical characteristics of the load.(2)The bubble dynamics of pore electrodes under different parameters were studied. The results show that the pore electrode can improve the bubble energy efficiency, ranging from 15.1%to 16.6%,which is not affected by the material of the insulating layer and the diameter of the electrode but decrease with the increase of charging voltage and diameter of pore.Besides,it is increases as the thickness of the insulating layer increases. And when the thickness is 3 mm,the maximum is 20.7%.(3)The acoustic characteristics of pore electrodes under different parameters were studied. The results show that the lower the dielectric constant of the insulating material, the larger the acoustic pulse. The thickness of the insulating layer increases, the acoustic pulse increases. When the thickness increases from 1 mm to 3 mm,the peak of expansion wave increases from 80.1 kPa to 90.7 kPa.Rising the diameter of pore reduces the peak of the expansion wave. When the diameter of pore increases from 1 mm to 3 mm,the peak of expansion decreases from 80.1 kPa to 68.3 kPa.The change of the electrode diameter has little influence on the acoustic pulse. As the distance of two pores increases, the acoustic pulse first rises and then falls, and there is an optimum value. That is to say, when the distance of two pores is 15 mm,the maximum expansion wave can reach 148.8 kPa.
