As an important ecological barrier in northwest China, species diversity and distribution pattern in Helan Mountains has always been the focus of regional ecological research. In order to study the distribution pattern of plant leaf traits in Helan Mountains and the effects of environmental factors on the differentiation of plant traits, four vegetation types(deseart stepp, shallow shrub,Picea crassifolia forest and alpine meadow)in three transects(Xiang shui gou,Da kou zi gou and Da shui gou)from south to north along the east Helan Mountains area were setted, the leaf traits of 723 plant samples from 73 species and response to environmental factors were analyzed. The results were as follows:(1)The average LT of plant leaves in the east Helan Mountains area was 0.24±0.13mm,and the average SLA was 0.47±0.17g.The average LDMC was 190.18±157.33 cm2/g,the average C was 424.48±118.41 g/kg,the average N was 11.98±5.24 g/kg,and the average P was 1.34±0.58 g/kg,C/N:43.29±27.62,C/P:380.27±201.59,N/P:10.59±6.38.The C,N,C/P and N/P accorded with normal distribution, the rest did't.(2)Between different living types, leaf thickness(LT):trees>shrubs>herbs,leaf-to-leaf area(SLA):herb>trees>shrubs;Leaves dry matter content(LDMC):shrubs>herbs>trees;leaves P:shrubs>herbs>trees.Plant non-weighted leaf traits between different vegetation types, shallow mountain thickets are jointly restricted by blades C and N/P,alpine meadows are limited by blade C/P.(3)The correlation between plant leaf traits shows that the leaf LDMC has a significant positive correlation to C/P and N/P.Blade C and C/N,C/P also have a significant positive correlation, blade N and C/N,C/P,N/P showed a very significant positive correlation,C/N and C/P,N/P showed a very significant positive correlation.(4)The maximum environmental impact factors for blade thickness LT,blade P,C/N are vapor pressure(Varp),and the maximum environmental impact factors for blade dry matter content(LDMC),blade C,blade N/P are 0-20 cm soil capacity Weight(OS2),the maximum environmental impact factor of blade-to-leaf area(SLA)is 0-20 cm soil carbon content(TC2),and the influence factor of leaf N is 0-20 cm soil nitrogen content(TN2);The maximum environmental factor of blade C/P is 20-40 cm soil pHospHorus content(TP4);...
