In recent years,with the widespread use of geological 3D data in various geoscience research fields,geoscience research has gone from the research on two-dimensional plane in the past to the three-dimensional research.With the increase of the data volume of 3D data,there are two contradictions.Traditional two-dimensional data processing methods are difficult to migrate to 3D data for further use.The rich information brought by 3D data is increasing for researchers.In this case,3D geological data is often not effectively used.Among the geological information contained in these three-dimensional data,the relevant information of fold elements is an important kind of information.Fold is a kind of bending phenomenon of rock stratum under stress.The hinge and axial position of the fold on the surface of the formation can represent the most significant position of stress compression or tension,and it is an important ore control element.In the 3D data,the extraction of fold elements also encountered the old extraction methods,the huge amount of data,and other problems,which caused difficulties in the extraction.Therefore,in order to solve the relevant problems of fold extraction,a new method is proposed to extract fold related elements based on the curvature operation of the three-dimensional solid model of the formation.The old method of fold extraction in the 3D solid model of the formation is effectively solved,and the other is the integration of each step of the method,The corresponding program is written to help researchers to use this method to extract folds.The computer computing ability is used to solve the difficulties brought by the huge amount of information brought by 3D data.At the same time,it also supports the analysis and processing of some geo data,which has good data compatibility with the commonly used geoscience software.In the design,we also use a lot of mature and effective algorithms of common software in geoscience to expand the function.At the same time,the test in the actual geological model can get some application effect.The most severe deformation degree of stress in the strata is extracted and found.These parts with the most severe deformation degree will be accompanied by fault structure.This provides a good ore hosting space for mineralization,and the other parts with strong stress deformation,It also produces strong dynamic elements,providing the source of energy.It is of great significance to find the related deposits with dominant dynamic factors by finding the areas with strong deformation.Because the basic research data of this paper is the three-dimensional solid model of stratum,and the 3D solid model of formation is more similar to a matrix in structure,so,this paper uses MATLAB in matrix operation to study new extraction methods and develop supporting programs.
