There are a large number of loess slopes in the Loess Plateau.Due to the special properties of the loess,such as the fissures and collapsibility,the slope instability occurs frequently in the corresponding areas,which threatens the safety of local people's lives and property,and also greatly limits the local development.In order to get the development characteristics and model of structural plane in loess slope,obtain its effect on the slope,and explore the influencing factors of structural plane expansion in the slope,so the classification table of structural plane of loess slope is summarized.Then,54 loess slopes distributed in the South plateau of Jingyang are measured and counted in detail,and 165 macroscopic structural planes are recorded,and the following results are drawn:(1)Based on the scale and genesis of structural plane of loess slope,the classification table of structural plane of loess slope is summarized,and a set of classification thought is put forward.There are four types of structural planes developed on the Loess Slope in the south of Jingyang: tensile,shear and composite structural planes caused by landslide,potential vertical structural planes in the soil,falling water cave group and weathered fracture surface.(2)Based on the investigation of structural plane of loess slope in typical area,the distribution characteristics,development rules and genetic mechanism of structural plane are obtained: most of the development positions of the structural planes in the study area are within 15 m from the edge of the tableland,with length less than 50 m,opening less than 1m,dislocation height difference less than 0.5m,and the number of the developed planes is mostly 3 or less.The development spacing of the adjacent structural planes is about 2m,and the shape is mostly linear and parallel to the edge of the tableland.Three typical development patterns of structural plane in loess slope are summarized: single continuous structural plane,combined structural plane and parallel multiple structural planes.Furthermore,each mode is proved by an example and the action mode diagram is drawn.(3)By using numerical simulation method,the effects of various working conditions such as no structural plane,single structural plane and combined structural plane on the deformation,failure and stability of loess slope are studied,and the disaster mechanism of structural plane on loess slope is revealed.When the initial position of the structural plane is less than 5 m,the depth is 10 m,and the opening is 0,its expansion is the most active.It can be considered that the structural plane in this state has the strongest potential to damage the slope.
