With the rapid development of global economy and the acceleration of urbanization, urban population is increasing rapidly, and the safety problem of crowd gathering is increasingly prominent. The spread of panic is one of the main reasons for the occurrence of injury events. This article mainly studies the process of panic emotion transmission based on epidemiological model theory. We have established corresponding panic emotion transmission models considering the delay in the process of transmission and the differences in individual mental states. These models reveal the underlying mechanisms of panic sentiment. We use the differential equation theory to analyze the dynamics of propagation, and provide theoretical guidance for controlling the spread of panic emotions when people evacuate under emergencies. The main research work of this paper includes the following aspects:We consider the impact of the delay effect in the transmission process on the transmission of panic emotions and establish a panic emotion transmission model.Based on the biological significance of the basic regeneration number,we have obtained corresponding expressions. There is a very important significance in the formulation. In addition,we analyze the stability of the equilibrium point of the model based on the stability theory of delay differential equations. Finally,we verified the correctness of the theoretical analysis through numerical simulation. We analyzed the influence of factors such as infection rate and initial density of the three types of personnel on the scale of the final panic emotion transmission. We consider the impact of individual psychological state differences on panic emotion transmission and establish a corresponding panic emotion transmission model. We give the expression of the basic reproduction number of the model and the conditions for the local asymptotic stability of the equilibrium point. We use numerical simulations to analyze the effects of time lag and psychological state on the spread of panic emotions. Finally, the simulation results show that the calmer a person’s mental state is in the face of panic, the more favorable it is to control the spread of panic emotions.
