Since the 1970 s,China's reform and opening up,China's economic development level has made great progress, but it also brings a series of problems between environmental pollution and economic development.Once the problems are not properly solved, how to promote more stable and healthy economic development will be limited to a certain extent. At present,as a new engine to promote China's economic and social development,Internet development plays an important role in the contemporary economic field.Internet development can promote the transformation of economic development mode, and also play an important role in restraining carbon emissions. For a long time, scholars at home and abroad have focused on the impact of Internet development on energy consumption, but the research on the impact of Internet development on carbon dioxide emissions is relatively less, especially the path of the impact of Internet development on carbon dioxide. Therefore, this paper analyzes the direct and indirect impacts of Internet development on carbon dioxide emissions in China, and studies the path of the impact of Internet development on carbon dioxide emissions. This paper first summarizes the relevant literature on Internet development and carbon dioxide emissions at home and abroad, and describes in detail that Internet development affects carbon emissions through economic development, promoting technological innovation, changing industrial structure and developing foreign trade. It also discusses the internal mechanism of Internet development affecting carbon dioxide emissions. The research results show that Internet can promote economic growth and promote carbon dioxide emissions Technological innovation, optimization of industrial structure and promotion of technological innovation affect carbon emissions.Secondly, this paper takes the network penetration rate as the evaluation standard of network development, and takes the total carbon dioxide emission as the evaluation standard of carbon dioxide emission, and makes a descriptive analysis of the current regional Internet development level and carbon dioxide emission status in China. Finally, combined with the Internet development level and carbon dioxide emission status, according to STIRPAT model, this paper explores the impact of Internet development on dioxygen According to the structural equation model, this paper analyzes the indirect impact of Internet development on carbon dioxide emissions and the path of the impact of Internet development on carbon emissions.According to the empirical results, the following conclusions can be drawn: the results of STIRPAT model show that the development of Internet can directly reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and the results of empirical analysis show that different degrees of Internet development have different inhibitory effects on carbon emissions;the empirical results of structural equation model show that the development of Internet can promote scientific and technological innovation and develop foreign trade To reduce carbon dioxide emissions, but the development of the Internet will increase carbon dioxide emissions by promoting economic development, increasing coal consumption and promoting the development of the secondary industry. After analyzing the impact of Internet development on carbon dioxide emissions in different regions, this paper investigates the direct and indirect impact of Internet development on carbon dioxide emissions, and finds that the development of Internet in different regions is different For the direct impact, the development of the Internet will directly reduce the carbon emissions in the eastern, central and western regions, and the eastern region has the most obvious inhibitory effect on carbon emissions, while the western region has the least obvious inhibitory effect on carbon emissions. For indirect impact, the development of Internet will increase carbon emissions by promoting economic development and increasing coal consumption, and reduce carbon emissions by promoting the development of foreign trade. Finally, this paper puts forward policy recommendations on the research conclusions.
