Invisible decays of mesons involve the standard model(SM)neutrinos or“missing”new particles in detector, such as light sterile neutrinos and the candidate of light dark matter.BESIII and Belle Ⅱ experiments are ideal places to study the invisible decay of vector mesons, which are expected to give exciting results in the near future.Mesons decay into the final states containing only neutrinos, which have been investigated in the SM.Invisible decay of pseudoscalar mesons P is actually dominated by the decay process P→vvvv in the SM.For the vector meson V,it is not this case,i.e.BrSM(V→vv)≠0.The new physics is likely to contribute to the invisible decay of light vector mesons, and thus we study the contributions of the new interactions and new particles to the invisible decays of light vector mesons V→vv with V being the light vector meson ρ,ω or φ.In the SM,neutrino masses are zero, but the neutrino oscillation experiments prove that the neutrinos have masses and they are mixed with each other. To explain the neutrino masses and their mixing angles, many new physics models beyond the SM have been proposed. Some of these models predict the existence of non-standard interactions(NSIs)of neutrinos. In the recent data of NOvA and T2K,the trace of NSIs of neutrinos can be detected.Light gauge boson Z’ and leptoquarks are new particles predicted by new physics. For example, the new physical models extended to the gauge group of the standard model predict the existence of Z’,while the Pati-Salam model and the extended technicolor models predict the existence of leptoquark.Taking into account of the constraints on NSIs of neutrinos and light gauge boson Z’,we compute their contributions to the branching ratio Br(V→vv)with V denoting the vector meson ρ,ω or φ.Our numerical results show that the value of Br(V→vv)is larger than the corresponding SM prediction at least by an order of magnitude. The contributions of leptoquark to the invisible decay V→uv are also discussed.
