The ocean is a vital resource treasury for human survival and development,and the sustainable development of the economy is increasingly dependent on the ocean.However,due to global climate change and other influences,typhoon and wave disasters occur frequently,coastline and sea areas are often attacked by typhoons and huge waves of varying degrees.Once a vast wave disaster occurs,the damage to coastal engineering facilities is often devastating.Therefore,it is imperative to model and analyze the various characteristics of coastal typhoons and waves to guide the effective and safe development of offshore operations.This article takes the crude oil port of Petro China/PDVSA Joint Venture Guangdong Petrochemical 20 MMTPA Refinery project as an example.Based on the SWAN wave model,the typhoon wave characteristics of the sea area where the project is located are studied,and different wave spectrum forms are used to fit the wave spectrum of the sea area,thereby providing a design reference for the project.The main work content and results are as follows:(1)The characteristics of wind and waves in the coastal areas of Guangdong Province have been analyzed,including normal and strong wind directions during the construction period.At the same time,the typhoon path of the project area in the past 10 years was counted.Based on the distance from the project point,three research areas with different radii were divided to provide a classification basis for subsequent research.(2)Based on the latest version of the SWAN41.31 version of the coastal shallow sea wave model,by adding CCMP and ERA-5 wind field reanalysis data,a numerical simulation of the typhoon waves in the project area from 2011 to 2020 was carried out,and the simulation results were compared and analyzed with the measured data and Jason-2 satellite altimeter data to verify the accuracy of the simulation results.(3)The basic principles of different equivalent storm models are summarized,derive the equivalent trapezoidal storm model based on the trapezoidal storm parameter profile proposed by DNV.The influence of different shape parameters on the calculation of the return period is compared,providing a convenient and reliable method for calculating the return period.(4)Typhoon events with different wind circle radii in the project area were selected.The wave spectra of P-M,ISST,ITTC,Wallops,JONSWAP,and Ochi-Hubble spectrum were compared and fitted.Finally,the directional spectrum of the waves during the passage of a typical typhoon and the changes in the regional wave field are analyzed.The parameters of the fitting expression of the Ochi-Hubble spectrum are given.
