The central part of the Himalayas is located in a strong collision and compression zone between the Asia-Europe plate and the Indian plate.Geological disasters often occur, are widely distributed, vary in types and scales, and cause large losses. In recent years, the investigation and evaluation of geological disasters has been gradually deepening. The results of the evaluation work not only provide scientific basis for disaster early warning, but also become the supporting foundation for disaster prevention and control. In this paper,a risk evaluation model is established for the geological disasters in the central Himalayas.Based on the collected data, the evaluation factors are analyzed and evaluation methods are selected to evaluate the area. The main contents are as follows:By summarizing and sorting out the basic data of natural environmental conditions and geological environmental conditions, covering topography, stratum lithology, human engineering activities, land use, rainfall, population density, etc.,to obtain recent seismic data, geological disaster data,GDP data, etc.,Used as basic data.Based on the above data, summarize and summarize the occurrence types, distribution rules, formation mechanisms and inducing factors of geological disasters in the study area, and finally determine the evaluation factors including slope, elevation, rock group type, structural distance, highway network and other factors.Subsequently, the above factors are determined as evaluation factors, and the risk assessment of the above factors is carried out by using the analytic hierarchy process and the BP neural network method. The analytic hierarchy process is used to determine the weights, and Arc GIS software is used to form the geological hazard risk zoning map of the study area;BP neural network method is used for training, the weight value is inverted, and the Arc GIS software is used to form the risk zoning map again. The two results are compared.Use the analytic hierarchy process again to analyze the vulnerability evaluation factors, and obtain the weight value and the vulnerability zoning map;finally, through the definition of risk=risk*vulnerability, the final risk zoning map of the research area is obtained.According to the evaluation results and the actual situation in the area, necessary disaster prevention and control measures are proposed.
