The current adaptive optics theory can only provide the average value of residual phase,which can`t satisfy the high standards of the next generation of adaptive optics for the stability and accuracy of the adaptive optics system.It also cannot provide the stability requirements for free-space optical communications and other fields.The research of probability theory of adaptive optics probability theory is conducive to the construction of high-stability,high-precision adaptive optics systems.This paper studied the probability characteristics of residual phase caused by error factors,including sampling error of deformable mirror,control error of adaptive Optics Control System,detection error of wavefront detector.the probability characteristics of the three errors are simulated.The main research contents are as follows:Firstly,this paper summarized the development status of adaptive optics theory,and introduces the basic adaptive optics theory in detail.The probability density curve of fitting error of 127 unit triangular deformable mirror is simulated by Zernike model fitting additive method and Monte Carlo method.The two simulation curves fit well.We compared the correlation of fitting error decomposition coefficients which may influence on the residual phase probability characteristics.The simulation results show that the correlation has a great influence on the probability characteristics of the fitting error.In addition,we also analyze the fitting error of KL model,and the results show that the choice of basis function will not influence a lot.Secondly,We simulate two kind of adaptive optics control systems based on integral controller and proportional-integral control respectively,and then analyze the probability characteristics of control errors and noise errors.The results show that the proportional-integral controller has stronger inhibition effect on noise error,but the probability characteristics of the two systems are similar in general.Finally,We analyzed the probability of centroid error caused by photon noise in scintillation.The results show that scintillation has a great influence on the probability characteristics of centroid error caused by photon noise.The probability characteristics of photon noise are different under different light intensity fluctuations.The centroid error caused by photon noise is inversely proportional to the peak average photon number,and increases with the enhancement of light intensity fluctuation condition.
