Ghost imaging is a new imaging method which differs from direct imaging. It promises great potential for applications in anti-scattering,anti-turbulence,medical imaging or infrared remote sensing and so on,with low cost.In traditional imaging, once we obtain a photo, the light field received on the detection surface reflects the relationship between it and the reflectivity or transmissivity distribution of the object plane, under the condition that light travels in straight lines. The relationship between them is a point-topoint mapping. That is,each pixel in the image we get has a point-to-point relationship with the intensity of the counterpart point in object plane. However, the principle of ghost imaging is not point-to-point mapping. The total intensity of reflected or transmitted light on the object plane is detected to obtain the second order correlation with the reference light field, which provides the distribution of reflectivity or transmissivity on the object plane. As another dimension of light, polarization is known widely. However, only till the past few decades the application of polarization has been developed. The polarization information promises a great potential in remote sensing, military application, medical imaging and so on.Recently, the polarization applications in such as polarized antiscattering imaging, underwater imaging, disguise recognizing and so on are gradually developed.Polarization in these areas are mostly used as a tag to distinguish reflection of different surface and to filter out the spare component in the light, which can help to raise the contrast of image. Our work aims at the objects with the same reflectivity, which cannot be distinguished in traditional ghost imaging. We put forward a method to distinguish these objects utilizing polarization.Firstly,we introduce the principles of ghost imaging. Then we propose to obtain the distribution of the degree of polarization of the reflected light, which achieved an initial distinguishing for the objects of the same reflectivity.Furthermore,if there are only two values for degree of polarization in the field of view,we can separate their reflected intensities from total intensity of reflection, then image with higher contrast can be achieved. Finally,we study anti-scattering imaging with our method. We explained why our method is robust against the scattering theoretically, and we made an experimental verification for our theory.
