Nowadays,there are plenty of well-developed GIS service package on the market,such as the Arc GIS series developed by GIS service supplier ESRI and the Super Map series developed by Super Map Beijing.All these companies have developed comprehensive services,software,and other technical solutions based on GIS geographic information system available for the software industry.However,those software platforms are too expensive and too complicated such that only developers with GIS expertise can make use of them.Therefore,there are certain research and application value to investigate how to develop a GIS service platform using open source technology,which can be user friendly for any developer and fulfils the need of specific industrial requirements.This thesis focuses on how to build a GIS integrated service platform using open source technologies.First,the available GIS products on the commercial markets are analysed for their platform structure and technical features.While taking the specific industrial application requirements in mind,it is concluded that the publication and managing of GIS map service,spatial data management,spatial data analysis and2D/3D Web GIS would be the essential functions for the platform to be developed.Next,the thesis purposed a system architecture for the GIS service platform's web system,using the popular Spring Boot framework for the back-end and vue.js framework for the front-end to construct the entire system separately.The opensource Postgre SQL database with Post GIS plug-in module is selected as the platform database framework,and spatial data analysis functions such as spatial deduction,buffer analysis and shortest pace deduction can be realized by Post GIS.2D/3D Web GIS function is the core of the platform.The design is based on the opensource Cesium,offering a 2D/3D map application API written by Java Script,in order to support functions including: layer construct,coordinate transformation,location deduction,event popup,module loading,and 3D visual effects.The method of visualization of 3D models by processing and transforming 3D models are briefly discussed as well.The thesis finished up with performing extensive performance study and Internet browser capabilities analysis on the GIS service platform constructed,and demonstrate a real world application scenario using tourism big data collected from district Fenghua with an exceptional result.
