With the rapid development of contemporary science and technology, optical element is widely used in aerospace, national defense, and other important fields,on the surface of the optical components in optical system is more and more high quality requirements, when beams to the surface of the optical element, element on the surface of the microstructure on the beam of light scattering phenomenon seriously affected the optical performance, and reduce the energy concentration of beam of light,it could even damage the optical system's detection equipment. Therefore,it is a problem that needs to be solved to study the main reasons for the light scattering characteristics of the surface morphology of optical elements so as to reduce the scattering phenomenon generated on the surface of the elements to meet the requirements of the optical system. In order to quantitatively analyze the light scattering characteristics of the surface of precision machining components, the mechanism of precision turning was analyzed in this paper.Based on the bidirectional reflection distribution function(BRDF),the change law between the surface morphology of optical components and the light scattering characteristics was studied. In this paper, the light scattering characteristics of the surface morphology of optical elements will be studied from the following aspects:Firstly, the micro-morphology of the precision turning surface was described, and the geometric parameters of the surface of the machined components were analyzed, which provided the basis for the further research of micro-morphology.The precision turning surface topography model was established by using Matlab software, and the influence of surface geometry parameters on the micro-morphology was analyzed.Secondly, based on the bidirectional reflection distribution function, the optical scattering characteristics distribution model of the surface morphology of optical elements was established. The effects of different parameters, such as incident wavelength, incident Angle, surface parameters and machining parameters,on the optical scattering characteristics were studied. Finally, precision turning was carried out on the optical element, and the surface morphology of the element was experimentally studied.Ultra-depth microscope and white light interferometer were used to detect the surface morphology of the element.By comparing with the simulation results, the correctness of the surface morphology model mentioned above was verified. The scattering characteristics of the precision turning surface were detected by the scattering experiment equipment, and the results of the simulation experiment were compared and the error analysis was made,so as to verify the correctness of the scattering characteristics model above. In the field of precision turning of optical components,it can provide practical support for further research on optical properties of precision turning of optical components.
