The Industrial Design Of Tandem Double-wire Gmaw Welding Machine Based On Ergonomics

The new demands of welding industry are to adopt the advanced welding technology and to realize automation.As a typical representative of advanced welding techniques,Tandem double-wire Gas Metal Arc Welding(GMAW)could be used in precision and high-quality welding.It has some superiorities in higher welding efficiency and easier automatic control.The paper presents a possible solution with transforming the common GMAW welding tractor into special welding machine with good operability and high degree automation based on Tandem double-wire GMAW welding.And it mainly concentrates on the appearance and interface design of the special welding machine.Firstly,the project aims at the current situation that welding equipment lacks the consideration of human factors.It takes the man-machine-environment system as the research object and discusses the welder’s requirements and the existing problems in the welding.Then,it highlights the combination of environmental factors with special welding machine design from the angle of ergonomics.This transformation design is available to achieve the top performance,improve the usability of welding machine as well as to enhance the experiences of users.Next,it focuses on the design elements including structure functions and interface parameters.Comparing with the original welding tractor,the special welding machine needs some extra constructions and analysis of formative elements,such as shape,color and material.Under the rule of interface design,the paper explains how to rank the interface parameters,how to control the welding machine,how to lay out the parameters and how to determine the style composed of icon,caption and color.Additionally,on the basis of product design and improvement methods,the paper deeply discusses several design solutions on the appearance and interface design of Tandem double-wire GMAW welding machine.It evaluates these designs in the aspect of appearance and interface by the appropriate methods and criteria,and then chooses the optimal design respectively.Finally,the paper thoroughly summarizes the ergonomics principles of Tandem double-wire GMAW welding machine.And these systematic principles have consulting value on improving the other welding equipment in the manufacturing industries.
