Terahertz wave is the main communication band of 6G communication, and terahertz modulation technology as its core part is worthy of in-depth study.Plasma-induced transparency,an electromagnetic-induced transparency phenomenon with dispersion, low loss, and slow light effects, has become easier to realize and produce thanks to the development of metamaterials.Because of its superior photoelectric response, perovskite can be used in terahertz modulation technology. This paper studies the terahertz metamaterial modulator based on plasma-induced transparency and perovskite. The main research contents are as follows:(1)The principle of plasma-induced transparency is studied, and the Lorentz coupling model is used to analyze the causes of plasma-induced transparency, which is mainly caused by the destructive interference between different modes, which is the follow-up modulator.Design and analysis provide a theoretical basis.(2)The terahertz metamaterial modulator based on plasma-induced transparency is studied. The simulation analyzed the formation mechanism of plasma-induced transparency effect, and realized the effect of active modulation of terahertz wave by means of light modulation. The maximum modulation depth of the transparent window reached 80%.The Lorentz coupling model is used to analyze the reason why the plasma-induced transparent window tends to disappear. The main reason is that the increase of light intensity increases the photo-generated carriers of the substrate silicon, thereby inhibiting the coupling effect of the two modes.(3)The terahertz plasma-induced transparent modulator based on perovskite/metasurface is studied. The simulation analyzes the mechanism of the formation of the transparent window of the modulator, and uses laser pumping to realize the active modulation effect of the terahertz wave, and the maximum modulation depth reaches 33%.The reason for the decrease of the transmission spectrum amplitude is analyzed through the Drude model, which is mainly due to the increase of light intensity which increases the photogenerated carriers of the perovskite film, which absorbs a large amount of terahertz photon energy and weakens the coupling effect of the two modes,Which affects the modulation effect of the entire modulator on the terahertz wave.
