Radio telescopes can observe the radiation spectrum of the space radio band.The main function of the radio astronomy line terminal in the radio astronomy telescope system is to convert the intermediate frequency signal through a series of calculations to the success rate spectrum,and astronomers then study the celestial bodies based on the power spectrum.For example,in the observation of the maser source,due to its strong radiation,clustering,strong polarization,and time-varying characteristics,maser research can be used to understand the astrophysical environment and dynamics.With the advancement of science and technology,people have higher and higher requirements for the accuracy of radio telescope spectral line observation.The spectral line terminal is an important part of the radio telescope.In this paper,the radio astronomy line terminal CDAS2(Chinese VLBI Data Acquisition System 2)developed by the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory is used as a hardware platform to study the fixed-point algorithm of the radio astronomy line terminal.Aiming at the fact that the original fixed-point algorithm cannot meet the accuracy requirements of spectral line observation,this project proposes an operation mode using IEEE 754 single-precision floating-point algorithm,and carries out simulation verification of accuracy and comparison with actual observations of methanol maser.Through the analysis of a large number of simulation verification and actual observation data,it can be concluded that the use of IEEE 754 single-precision floating-point algorithm can improve the accuracy of the radio astronomy line terminal power spectrum to a certain extent.The solution proposed in this subject can be applied to the field of astronomical spectral line observation,as well as other signal processing fields such as mine exploration,and has great market value.
