Since the standard model of particle physics was proposed, some large particle colliders have been built to test the standard model and explore new physics beyond the standard model. With the upgrade of particle colliders, more and more particles were discovered, but not many Bc mesons were observed experimentally. So far, only two Bc mesons have been collected by the Particle Data Group(PDG).In the face of the lack of information about the Bc meson,it is of great significance to study the mass spectrum and decay of the Bc meson. In this paper, the phenomenological model is used to study the Bc meson. For the mass spectrum of Bc meson, the potential model used in this paper is Cornell potential, and the screening effect is considered.Since the parameters of the potential model are unknown,we first fit its parameters. In the fitting process of the parameters, the experimental values are derived from the experimental data of the Bc meson family, and experimental data in the S and P waves of mesons such as bb、cc、B、Bs、D and Ds are also adopted. The fitting parameters are brought into the potential model to calculate the mass spectrum of the relevant meson.Their theoretical values are in good agreement with the experimental values.we also predict the mass spectrum of the highly excited state of the Bc meson. In addition, this paper also calculates the decay width of Bc meson radiation, that is,the width of electric dipole and magnetic dipole. Finally, the widths of the twobody strong decays of Bc mesons are calculated by the quark pair generation model(3P0 model),and their branching ratios are given. We expect that the research in this paper will have reference value for establishing Bc meson family and searching for other Bc mesons that have not been observed in the future.
