Worm gear has the advantages of large transmission ratio,flexible transmission direction,compact structure and self-locking according to requirements under certain conditions.It is widely used in machine tools,precision instruments,radars,large astronomical telescopes and other equipment.Worm gear plays an extremely important role in mechanical transmission.With the rapid progress of science and technology,the overall accuracy and detection technology of mechanical equipment have made great progress.In modern measurement engineering,the detection accuracy has entered the field of micron and nano.Therefore,the influence of thermal deformation of worm gear pair on transmission accuracy can not be ignored.Because with the change of temperature,the geometric dimension of worm gear teeth will also change,which will affect the transmission accuracy of worm gear pair,produce certain errors,and finally affect the machining accuracy and detection accuracy of gear hobbing machine or precision instruments and meters.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the impact of worm gear pair on transmission accuracy.The continuous improvement and perfection of finite element method has more practical significance for the thermal deformation of worm gear pair than traditional methods.In this paper,the geometric deformation of worm gear teeth after heating is theoretically calculated,and the polar coordinate expression of tooth profile after thermal deformation is given.The variation of transmission error of worm gear pair at different temperatures is studied by finite element simulation and dynamic simulation.Take the worm gear processed by the laboratory as the research object,mainly including the following contents:Firstly,the research status of worm gear transmission and thermal deformation is analyzed and summarized.The worm gear and worm are studied based on the thermal deformation theory.By analyzing the characteristics of worm gear and worm,the three-dimensional solid model of worm gear and worm is established,which provides the basis for the following simulation analysis.Secondly,the thermal simulation calculation model is established,the thermal deformation equation of the worm gear tooth profile is deduced,and the simulation model of the worm gear is established by using the finite element analysis software,the temperature distribution cloud diagram and thermal deformation distribution cloud diagram of the worm gear are obtained,and the basic characteristics of the steady-state temperature field and the trend of thermal deformation of the worm gear are clarified.Thirdly,the motion simulation of worm gear pair is carried out to obtain the motion trend of worm gear pair after thermal deformation,and the influence of temperature change on the transmission accuracy of worm gear pair is analyzed.Finally,the test platform is built,the worm gear and worm are heated by the thermostat,and then the transmission error of the worm gear pair is measured by the single-sided and double-sided meshing tester Geartec gtwt 600.The previous simulation calculation is verified according to the experimental report.
