In modern electronic communication system,high-power microwave transmitters play an important role.Among them,broadband high-power traveling wave tubes are usually used as final-stage power amplifiers and are the key devices of such transmitters.In order to make the broadband traveling-wave tubes work optimally,power driver modules with specific functions must be designed in this type of transmitters.In particular,in some instant electronic communication systems,it is often necessary to develop a specific real-time signal forwarding module to realize instant processing of specific signals.The microwave broadband signal forwarding module developed in this paper is a dedicated microwave module with this fuction,and its main function is to amplify and gain equalization of the to-be-processed signal sent by the front-end circuit,and then send it to a high-power traveling wave tube for power amplification,and finally transmit it through the antenna.The main work of this article is as follows:1.A traveling wave tube power drive module with an operating frequency band of7.5-18 GHz is designed by using the IPA0618-22 drive amplifier chip of Xingu Microelectronics and the WFD060180-P31 power amplifier chip of the 55 th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation.2.A power supply module is designed for the microwave circuit board of the power drive module,and the applied +12 V DC voltage is converted into the supply voltage required for each active chip to ensure the normal operation of the power drive module.3.A broadband microwave power detector feedback control circuit is designed by using a power splitter chip and two RF diode chips.The circuit applies a certain degree of adaptive rejection of the input signal in the power range of 5-15 d Bm,which improved the second harmonic suppression and compressed the dynamic range of the signal sent to the driving circuit.4.A 7.5-18 GHz gain equalizer for traveling wave tube is designed,which can accurately correct the gain curve of the back traveling wave tube to ensure that the traveling wave tube works optimally.After testing,the second harmonic suppression of the output signal of the microwave broadband forwarding module can reach at least15.1 d Bc and up to 24.5 d Bc.The microwave broadband signal forwarding module developed in this paper meets the expected design indicators and can be used as a supporting power drive module for high-power traveling wave tubes,which has been applied in specific electronic communication scenarios.
