It is very important to evaluate reservoir effectively in the exploration and development of low porosity and permeability reservoirs.Well logging evaluation of low porosity and low permeability reservoirs is always a difficult point in reservoir evaluation.The Baibao area is a typical representative of low porosity and low permeability oil reservoir.The reservoir has poor properties,strong heterogeneity and complex pore configuration.The relationship between the oil and water is complex.The difference of diagenesis and pore con figuration seriously impacted the ability which takes well logging data to accurately identify and evaluate reservoir.In this paper,the Chang 8 oil reservoir in the B168 area of the Baibao oilfield which is in the Ordos Basin is studied as the research object.Firstly,the sedimentary facies,sand body distribution and reservoir characteristics have been studied systematically.Secondly,the reservoir parameter interpretation model has been established.Finally,the oil and water layer identification of the reservoir has been studied by using reservoir parameter cross-plot method,the resistivity overlap with acoustic time logging curve method,invasive characteristics analysis method and differential analysis method.In this paper,the output of production is also predicted by the productivity coefficient method and multiplication method of effective thickness and oil saturation.According to the above research,the following understanding has been achieved.The depositional system of Chang 8 reservoir is delta frontal subfacies.The major rock type is mainly feldspar-debris sandstone.The pore types are mainly intergranular pores.The average porosity is 9.35%,the average permeability is 0.76×10-3?m2.The reservoir property is bad,and the characteristics perform low porosity and low permeability.Four methods have been used to identify the oil and water layers,which increased the rate of the interpretation accuracy.The evaluation models of capacity have been established by logging data and production dynamic data,which have higher accuracy and better geological application effect.
