The study of the metal phosphonate is a very hot topic in the current international chemical and materials sector,due to their structure diversities and potential applications in catalysis,magnetism,adsorption,optoelectronics and other fields.In this article,seven novel phosphonate monoester with 4,4,-biphenyldiphosphonate bis(monoethyl ester)(H2L=(C2H5O)(OH)OPCH2(C6H4)2CH2PO(OH)(OC2H5))as the phosphonate ligand have been successfully synthesized under hydrothermal condition.All compounds were structurally characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction,X-ray powder diffraction infrared spectroscopy and thermo gravimetric analysis.The surface photovoltage and luminescent properties of target compounds have been studied.The chemical formulas are listed as follow:(1)[Pb(L)](2)[Pb3(L)1.5(OOCC6H4COOH)3](3)[Mn(L)(2,2'-bipy)(H2O)]·H2O(4)[Cd(L)(2,2'-bipy)(H2O)]·H2O(5)[Mn(L)(1,10-phen)(H2O)]·H2O(6)[Cd(L)(1,10-phen)(H2O)]·H2O(7)[Cd(L)(H2biim)2]In this paper,metal phosphonate crystalline material with optical,electrical and fluorescence properties was expected to be synthesized.Compound 1 shows a 3D supramolecular structure and has been synthesized by direct synthesis under hydrothermal condition;Compound 2 adopts a 3D framework structure and has been synthesized though introduce a second organic ligand.Compounds 3-7 have been synthesized though introduce the 2,2'-bipy,1,10-phen and H2biim as the second organic ligand.Compounds 3-6 can be described as 3D supramolecular structures through hydrogen bonding and ?-? stacking interactions.Compounds 3 and 4 are isostructural,as are compounds 5 and 6.Compound 7 can be described as a 2D supramolecular structure through ?-? stacking interactions.TG curve of seven compounds reveal that compounds 1,2 and 7 have good thermal stability.The SPS and FISPS of compounds 3 and 5 indicate that they show surface photo voltage properties and have p-type semiconductor characteristic.The luminescent properties of compounds 1,2,4,6 and 7 indicate that they are potential blue-light luminescent materials.The molecular recognition properties of compounds 1,2,4 and 6 indicate that they potentially used for the sensitive sensing of p-nitrophenol.
