This paper analyzed the organizations and texutres of the different hot-rollingdirection TC2 Titanium alloy plates by OM and EBSD.This paper also discussed the evolutions of them in the process of annealing.Furthermore,the mechanical property of the different hot-rolling-direction TC2 Titanium alloy plates have been measured,in directions that the rolling direction(RD),the transverse direction(TD)and the direction that angle to RD and TD both 45°(RD45°).In the end,the mechanical property anisotropy of the different hot-rolling-direction TC2 Titanium alloy plates have been discussed.The experimental results show that,compared with unidirectional rolling,the recrystallization temperature of the cross rolled TC2 titanium alloy plates is lower,and the grains in the cross rolled sample can nucleate easily.After 600? annealing,the organizations in the unidirectional rolled samples have no significant change,but a part of the grains in the cross rolled sample have nucleated.After 750? annealing,some small grains can be found in the unidirectional rolled sample,while all the grains in the cross rolled sample have already grown up,and ther direction of rolling cannot been found.After hot rolling,the unidirectional rolled sample showed a representative(0001)basal texture with 86.8% contents.The cross rolled sample showed the maximum orientation is(0001)basal texture as well,and also formed the strong deformation textures near the areas which have a deflection(45° and 135°)from TD to ND and a deflection(20°)from TD to RD.Compared with the unidirectional rolled sample,the orientation intensities in the cross rolled sample were much lower.In the process of ammealing,compared with the unidirectional rolled sample,the orientation in the cross rolled sample could be changed simply,and the degree of the change was much higher.After annealing,the orientations in the cross rolled sample were distributed dispersively.While,the most of the orientations in the unidirectional rolled sample were distributed near the TD point or towards the direction from TD to ND.The results of tensile test show that the mechanical properties in different directions of the cross rolled TC2 titanium alloy plate are much more uniform than that in the unidirectional rolled TC2 titanium alloy plate.The cross rolled TC2 titanium alloy plate keeps better isotropy,fewer work hardending and better deep drawability than the unidirectional rolled TC2 titanium alloy plate.
