The development and utilization of non-renewable natural materials,such as petroleum and coal,has led to the increasingly wasted of non-renewable resources.Many renewable resources have not been used as energy sources,instead of discard,landfill,incineration,and other treatment.These treatments not only impose a burden on the natural restoration of the environment,but also causes environmental pollution by volatile odors.With development of chemical industry,synthetic polymers have been widely used,due to the advantages of easy processing,aesthetics,and simple composition.However,biomass resources rich in natural polymers,such as lignin,chitin,cellulose,protein,etc.,were neglected,resulting in the waste of natural resources.Feather fiber is a kind of natural polymer containing a large amount of keratin.In this work,two kinds of crystal violet adsorbents,the surface of feather fiber was bonded with halloysite(CF-Si-HNTs)and the surface of feather fiber was bonded with methacrylic acid-?-hydroxyethyl ester(CF-HEMA)were prepared by using feather fiber and biocompatible materials.At the same time,the composite of hydroxyapatite and feather fiber CF-HA was prepared.The content of the paper was divided into the following sections:In Chapter 1,firstly,the main types of fibers were introduced,including natural fibers and chemical fibers.Among them,protein fibers,which belong to natural fibers,were important raw materials for people in fabric research because of their property of soft texture.Secondly,the main modification methods of feather fiber materials were summarized,and the main application fields of feather fibers were expounded.The most widely used materials were reinforced materials and adsorbents,but there were still many aspects were blank.Finally,the keratin regenerated fibers were summarized.In Chapter 2,the surface of feather fiber was bonded with halloysite,and ?-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(KH570)was used as modifier.First,KH570 was bonded onto the surface of CF,then halloysite was added,a biodegradable adsorbent was prepared by complexing the halloysite nanotubes(HNTs)with CF by Si-O-Si bond.The morphology,structure and stability of the adsorbent was characterized by FT-IR,TG,XRD,SEM and EDS.It was found that the halloysite nanotubes were regularly distributed in the gap of feather fibers,and the dispersion of CF-Si-HNTs in water became better.The effects of substrate concentration,reaction time,p H,tempreature and adsorbent dosage on the adsorption performance of CF-Si-HNTs were investigated.The comparison found that the CF-Si-HNTs adsorption effect on crystal violet was excellent,the removal rate can reached 99.45%.In Chapter 3,the surface of feather fiber was bonded with methacrylic acid-?-hydroxyethyl ester(HEMA).CF was used as raw material and HEMA as modifier.The hydrophilic monomer HEMA was bonded on the surface of CF,which not only maintained the original appearance of the adsorbent,but also was convenient to recycled.CF-HEMA was prepared and had excellent adsorption properties.The structure,stability and morphology of CF-HEMA were characterized by FT-IR,TG and SEM.The effects of substrate concentration,reaction time,p H,tempreature and adsorbent dosage on the adsorption performance of CF-HEMA were investigated,the highest removal rate was 95.69%.Finally,the thermodynamic and kinetic characteristics of CF-HEMA adsorption were discussed.In Chapter 4,the hydroxyapatite was loaded on feather fiber surface.CF was used as the raw material,the disulfide bond on the surface of the CF was breaked by reducing agent.Sulfhydryl group was protected by Sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),as the keratin on the surface of the feather fiber was reduced,cysteine residue was exposed.The thiol group formed a complex with phosphate and calcium ions,so the hydroxyapatite was synthesized in situ on the surface of the CF,obtained CF-HA.On the one hand,the combination of CF and HA made good use of the inherent properties of natural polymers,it was also a kind of easily degradable material.CF-HA has high liquid absorption capacity and was expected to be applied in the field of quick-drying materials or fillings for the textile industry.In summary,two kinds of crystal violet adsorbents were prepared by using feather fiber as raw material.These two adsorbents had good adsorption effect,easy to recycle and utilization.Therefore,the waste natural polymer material was effectively utilized and combined with the biocompatible material.It has the advantages of non-toxic and environmentally friendly and was expected to be used in water treatment.
