Due to high electrical conductivity and chemical stability,the porous titanium nitride(TiN)and silicon carbide(SiC)fibers are the ideal electrode materials for supercapacitors.TiN and SiC porous fibers were prepared by electrospinning combined with reduction nitridation and carbothermal reduction,respectively.The metal oxide nanostructures grown on the TiN and SiC fibers surface via hydrothermal process in order to increase the specific capacitance of these electrode materials.1)Porous TiN fibers were prepared by electrospinning and reduction nitridation method using butyl titanate and PVP as raw materials.Co O,Ni O and Co Ni O2nanostructures were grown on the surface of TiN fibers by hydrothermal method.The compose and electrochemical properties of composite fibers were tested by XRD,SEM,EDS,BET and electrochemical testing.Porous TiN fibers with some pore structure had a specific surface area of 37.0 m2/g.The specific capacitance was 143 F/g at current density of 50 m A/g.The TiN/Co O composite fibers had high cycle life and relatively low specific capacitance of 106.2 F/g.The capacitance of TiN/Ni O composite fibers was174.1 F/g.TiN/Co Ni O2composite fibers had specific surface area of 123.8 m2/g and pore diameter of 13.6 nm Its specific capacitance was up to 205.4 F/g when the current density was at 50 m A/g.2)The high crystallinity ?-SiC fiber was obtained by electrospinning and carbothermal reduction using TEOS as silicon source.The?-SiC fiber with a hollow tubular structure had highspecific surface area of 92.6 m2/g.The specific capacitance of SiC fibers was 155.7 F/g.The SiC/Co3O4composite fiber surface was coated with agglomerated nanosheets and its electrochemical performance was poor.The SiC/Ni O composite fiber had specific surface area of 465.8 m2/g and the specific capacitance was258.1 F/g.The specific capacitance of SiC/Ni Co2O4fibers was 300.3 F/g at current density of 50 m A/g.and the internal resistance was 0.9?.When the power density was58.11 W/kg,the energy density was 60.1 Wh/kg.Figure 97;Table 26;Reference 104.
