At present,most of the coal mines in central and eastern China adopt strip mining and skip mining in the early stage based on the consideration of safety production.With the development of coal mining to the deep and the decrease of the front resources the recovery of coal pillar resources gradually highlights the great significance for the sustainable and stable development of the coal industry.Based on the actual mining situation of the 117 island working face in a western mine,this paper studied the stoping plan,mining method and on-site organization and management measures of the working face through theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.In order to ensure the smooth mining of 117 island working face,the roadway layout plan and the stability of coal pillars on both sides of the "island" fully mechanized caving face were firstly studied.The coal pillars on both sides of the 1 17 island fully mechanized caving face were determined to be 34m by theoretical calculation and FLAC numerical simulation.A coal pillar of 55m is set between the inner working face and the goaf of the 109 working face.By comparing various schemes,the optimal roadway layout scheme with high yield,sufficient overburden movement of working face,good pre-splitting effect on caving coal,and ability to eliminate coal pillar impact pressure hazard was selected,and the areas in need of strengthened support in the scheme were identified.According to the actual circumstance of the 117 island coal face,through a combination of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation comparison "big mining height are broken once all thick","the caving mining" the advantage and disadvantage of two methods of coal mining,ultimately determine the adapt to the current 117 working face in coal seam thickness and the geological conditions,mine pressure has used since the fall of the advantages of the top-coal,saves the electricity and the equipment of the fully mechanized caving mining method,and the coal mining method and equipment type selection reasonable optimization.Through the analysis of 117 island working face roof movement rule,pressure characteristics and working face support force characteristics,the support to the roof adaptability and control effect as well as the leading abutment pressure influence range and distribution characteristics,especially formulated the relevant observation content,clear equipment selection and layout installation.The roof management,the advanced support management and the roof management measures of the two running-trough end during the period of the working face during the breaking of the roof during the mining period are formulated to ensure the safety of the roof.The island working face stoping management leading group is established to make the island working face stoping standardized and institutionalized.Aiming at the safety problems such as deformation and failure of surrounding rock,gas emission(over limit),spontaneous combustion in goaf,etc.,which may occur during the mining period,this paper aims to strengthen the ideological consciousness and improve the management quality.Combine theory with scene,check the main contradiction;Technology leading ideas,pay attention to and implement the three management ideas,formed 117 island working face fully mechanized caving mining process security system.The above research results have certain significance to guide the safe stoping of island working face in extra-thick coal seam,and are helpful to promote the relevant exploration and development of island working face stoping.
