As the earliest wear resistant material,high manganese steel has been widely used in impact resistant wear parts because of its excellent working and hardening ability.But in production practice,it is found that high manganese steel only wears under conditions of high impact,high stress,and hard abrasive.For some castings under conditions of low stress,low impact,it is difficult to give full play to its excellent work hardening ability,resulting in poor wear resistance of castings,affecting the service life.In recent years,the high manganese steel containing aluminum has attracted the attention of scholars both at home and abroad because of its excellent comprehensive properties.On the one hand,the addition of aluminum can not only improve the strength and plasticity of castings,but also improve the wear resistance of castings.On the other hand,aluminum as a lightweight element can also greatly reduce the density of castings,and achieve the purpose of energy saving and environmental protection.Therefore,in order to meet the requirements of different working conditions,with lightweight,low cost,high wear resistance,high toughness and corrosion resistance as the goal,the development of the second generation of high manganese steel based on traditional high manganese steel—Fe-Mn-Al-C system of new light wear resistant and high manganese steel,has become a hot research direction.In this paper,the composition of Fe-Mn-Al-C lightweight high manganese steel has been designed.The microstructure of different high temperature and water temperature has been observed and analyzed by OM and SEM.At the same time,the density,hardness and impact toughness of the light high manganese steel were studied.Through comparison and analysis of the wear resistance of test steel under different impact and wear conditions,and its wear mechanism is discussed.The main results show that:(1)ZGMn 13 Cr2 steel and Fe-13Mn-xAl-C(x=3,5,9)of light high manganese steel are both single austenite and a small amount of carbide in the cast state.When the water toughening temperature reached 1050℃,the carbide in the matrix was completely dissolved.The micro structure of Fe-13Mn-9Al-C lightweight high manganese steel after water treatment is austenite+ferrite.With the increase of water toughening temperature,the number of ferrite organization decreases and the size increases.(2)Microstructure and mechanical properties after comprehensive heat treatment.The best heat treatment process of Fe-13Mn-xAl-C(x=3,5)lightweight high manganese steel is as follows:starting at 500℃ holding 1h,then heating at 1050℃,holding 1h,quenching.After water toughening at 1050℃,the hardness of Fe-13Mn-xAl-C(x=3,5)light high manganese steel is 203HB and 192HB,and the impact toughness is 128 J·cm-3 and 110.3J·cm-3,respectively.(3)Under the impact energy of 0.5J,the wear mechanism of ZGMn13Cr2 steel and Fe-13Mn-xAl-C(x=3,5)of lightweight high manganese steel mainly micro-cutting;Under the impact energy of 1J,the wear mechanism is microcutting and plastic deformation of the mixed wear mechanism;Under the impact energy of 2J,the wear mechanism is the mixed wear mechanism of plastic deformation and fatigue spalling.Under the impact energy of 4J,the wear mechanism is all fatigue peeling.(4)Under the lower stress(0.5J,1J),the relationship of wear resistance is:Fe-13Mn-3Al-C>Fe-13Mn-5Al-C>ZGMn13Cr2.Under the impact energy of 0.5J,the wear resistance of light high manganese steel is the best.The wear resistance of Fe-13Mn-3Al-C is 4.39 times higher than that of ZGMn13Cr2,and the wear resistance of Fe-13Mn-5Al-C increases by 3.83 times.
