Pillararene is a kind of macrocyclic hosts molecule with great development prospects and application value.Due to the good solubility of water-soluble and amphiphilic pillararene in aqueous and the unique electronic effects and spatial effects of pillararene,many interesting selfassembly phenomena and applications have been developed in last decades.In this paper,we mainly discuss the interesting phenomena and applications of water-soluble and amphiphilic pillararene which selfassembled with different guest molecules in aqueous.In the first part of our research,water-soluble pillararene(WP5),amphiphilic imidazolium-type ionic liquids(G)and paraquat(PQ)was used to construct an interesting supramolecular systems in the aqueous phase.A variety of detection methods were used to confirm the host-guest interaction between the WP5 and G.We use strong host-guest interactions between PQ and WP5 to compete with G in the aqueous phase to form a supramolecular system of reversible foaming and defoaming.In addition,the mechanism for the lower surface tension of the G aqueous solution and the surface tension recovery after the addition of WP5 was investigated.A new amphiphilic pillar[5]arene(Gemini-AP5)was synthesized in the second part of my research.Gemini-AP5 can form interesting multi-layered vesicle structures in the aqueous phase.The multi-layered vesicle structure can be converted into a multilayer nanotube structure by additionally adding adenosine triphosphate within 2 hours.We also qualitatively analyzed the mechanism of assembly and self-assembly structure transformation of the Gemini-AP5 multi-layered vesicles.In addition,the multi-layered vesicle structure of Gemini-AP5 can effectively increase the solubility of tetraphenylporphyrin in water.And in order to determine that the introduction of the supramolecular system does not affect the properties of the solubilized compound,we used tetraphenylporphyrin,which is solubilized by Gemini-AP5,in combination with two other benzoic acid-based dyes to construct a system that emits white light.In the third part of our research,water-soluble methylene-bridged acyclic naphthalene oligomers(WN2 and WN3)were designed and prepared successfully.Interestingly,WN3 can used in reversible dispersion of carbon nanotubes in water by changing pH efficiently.
