Formation And Technological Development Of Kaifeng Embroidery

Kaifeng embroidery is one of the traditional embroidery techniques in China.It has distinct local characteristics,is an important link of cultural exchange and plays an important role in the cultural heritage of the Chinese nation.Under the background of social factors,Kaifeng embroidery is deeply rooted in the craft style of Song embroidery,with drawing large historical rolls as its main feature,combining the needle insertion method of Suzhou embroidery and Hunan embroidery,and with its own regional characteristics,gradually forming the mature,stable and innovative Bian embroidery craft.Since it was officially named in 1956,Kaifeng embroidery,according to the changes of the background of the times,has successively appeared on themes such as ancient famous painting embroidery imitating Song embroidery,Chinese painting landscape series,landscape embroidery,flower and plant embroidery,portrait embroidery,western oil painting embroidery,decorative painting embroidery,large-scale mural embroidery and so on.The color depends on the change of themes,while the needle method has been improving and innovating,from the initial dozens of bases.This needle method has developed to more than forty kinds up to now.Its exquisite craftsmanship level and unique craftsmanship style add new color to our traditional craftsmanship,and it is a precious national intangible cultural heritage.The main content of this paper is to clarify the formation and technological development of Kaifeng embroidery,and to provide basic data for the contemporary inheritance and development of Kaifeng embroidery.Through the methods of historical literature research,interviews and field investigation,the formation process of Kaifeng embroidery and the influence of local embroidery on the development of Kaifeng embroidery were studied.For the first time,by dividing time intervals,this paper deeply explores the specific development of Kaifeng embroidery in needling,theme,expressionand works from 1955 to the present,and puts forward some suggestions on a series of problems faced by Kaifeng embroidery,such as single product,difficulty in inheritance and great market pressure.
