Four pyridine derivatives copper halide complexes were designed and synthesized.The main contents and results of this thesis are as follows:1.Complex C11H10N2Cu2Br3(1)(C22H20N4=1,1"-(1,2-ethanediyl)-bis-4,4'-bipyridinium)was synthesized via microwave-assisted solvo-thermal reaction of C22H20N4Br2,Cu SO4·5H2O and Na Br,and characterized by XRD,FTIR,thermogravimetric analysis,and so on.C11H10N2Cu2Br3 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c(no.15)with lattice parameters a=24.658(3)?,b=6.71(9)?,c=17.368(9)?,?=98.274(1)°,V=2847.7(1)?3,Z=8.Complex 1 shows a 2-D layered structure composed of[Cu2Br3]chains connected via 1,1"-(1,2-ethanediyl)-bis-4,4'-bipyridinium ligands.The thermogravimetric analysis indicates that complex C11H10N2Cu2Br3 is stable up to 230 oC,and the final decomposition product is copper.2.Complex C22H20N4Cu8I10(2)(C22H20N4=1,1"-(1,2-ethanediyl)-bis-4,4'-bipyridinium)was synthesized via solvo-thermal reaction of C22H20N4Br2,Cu SO4·5H2O and Na I,and characterized by XRD,FTIR,and thermogravimetric analysis.The crystal structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses.C22H20N4Cu8I10crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n(no.14)with lattice parameters a=7.392(2)?,b=20.809(7)?,c=25.412(7)?,?=92.06(8)°,V=3906.6(8)?3,Z=4.Complex C22H20N4Cu8I10 possesses a 3-D framework in which puckered[Cu8I10]2–layers are linked by organic ligands.The thermogravimetric analysis indicates that complex C22H20N4Cu8I10is stable up to 170 oC.3.Complex C11H10N2Cu2I3(3)crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c(no.15)with lattice parameters a=24.802(3)?,b=6.9132(9)?,c=17.738(2)?,?=98.493(3)°,V=3008.0(6)?3,Z=8.The crystal structure of complex C11H10N2Cu2I3 is isostructural with complex C11H10N2Cu2Br3.4.Complex C28H24N4Cu O13S2(4)crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1(No.2),with lattice parameters a=10.682(1)?,b=12.829(1)?,c=13.496(1)?,?=97.74(3)°,?=111.0(2)°,?=111.0(2)°,V=1535.9(2)?3,Z=2.Each Cu ion is coordinated by two N from organic ligands and two“SO42-”to form a[Cu O10S2]2-cluster,each[Cu O10S2]2-cluster is connected via 1,1"-(?,?'-p-xylene)-bis-4,4'-bipyridinium ligands to form a flyover structure.
