Lithium-ion batteries anode is the worst part of the thermal stability of lithium-ion batteries.Therefore,this paper aims to develop a new type of flame-retardant silicon-based anode adhesive for lithium-ion batteries and a green and environmentally friendly bio-based active diluent to replace the short plate of lithium-ion batteries anode which is prone to thermal runaway,and to improve the energy density,cycle life and safety of high-performance lithium-ion batteries.Solve environmental pollution caused by organic solvents.In this paper,intrinsic flame retardant epoxy resin i-FREA was prepared by the reaction of tetrafunctional epoxy resin AG-601 with phosphorus containing flame retardant DOPO.Epoxy value test,FT-IR and LC-MS characterization proved that DOPO was chemically bonded to the molecular chain of AG-601;TGA analysis showed that i-FREA had excellent thermal stability.In the process of electrode preparation,i-FREA was reacted with traditional PAA to prepare a new binder i-FREA/PAA,which was applied to silicon-based anode of Li ion battery.FT-IR showed that there was a chemical reaction between i-FREA and PAA.Through the characterization analysis of mechanical properties,flame retardancy,electrochemical properties and other aspects:compared with the traditional binder PAA,the new binder i-FREA/PAA can not only significantly improve the cycle life,rate performance and load of active material of silicon-based anode,but also has the advantages of flame retardancy,good safety,high bonding strength and high mechanical properties,and its comprehensive performance is better than that of traditional PAA It is possible to replace the traditional PAA binder and has a promising application prospect in the field of high performance lithium batteries.bio-VaE was synthesized by the reaction of methacrylic anhydride and vanillin alcohol.The bio-VAE was characterized by FT-IR and LC-MS.Bio-based flame retardant epoxy resin(FVE)was prepared by copolymerization of flame retardant epoxy i-FREA with bio-based epoxy resin(ESO)and dilution of bio-based diluent bio-VaE.The performance test shows that the bio-based flame retardant epoxy resin has the advantages of low viscosity,good processability,low volatility,green environmental protection,good flame retardant performance,and can be extinguished immediately without fire.It is an environmentally friendly,flame retardant and safe bio-based epoxy resin.
