Up to now,although the difficulty of forming straight-walled parts in the CNC incremental forming technology has been initially solved.However,the problem of thickness uniformity is still a great challenge based on the realization of non-fracture forming.Therefore,a CNC incremental forming method based on the combinatorial optimization of multidirectional sheet postures was proposed in this paper by using the parts with large differences of forming angles and different surface curvature.The influence of extrusion direction and sheet postures on forming quality was also studied on this basis.Firstly,in order to solve the problem of uneven thickness distribution of the formed part caused by the large difference in forming angles and the different curvatures of the curved surfaces in the CNC incremental forming,a combinatorial optimization method of multidirectional sheet postures was proposed based on the particle swarm optimization,the specific solution flow of the algorithm was given,and the feasibility of the method was verified by the application example,numerical simulation and practical forming experiment.Secondly,the horizontal sheet posture,the multidirectional sheet postures without optimization,and the multidirectional sheet postures obtained after optimization were respectively used for comparative analysis through numerical simulation and forming experiments on the basis of the above algorithm.Thirdly,the effects of the different extrusion directions on the forming quality in the CNC incremental forming with the multidirectional adjustment of sheet postures were studied by using three extrusion directions:parallel to the Z-axis,perpendicular to sheet surface and perpendicular to the surface to be formed based on the optimized multidirectional sheet postures.Finally,four different orientations of the sheet postures with inclined angles of 15°、20°、25° and 30° were used in this paper to study the influence on the forming quality in the CNC incremental forming under the optimal extrusion direction by the numerical simulation and forming experiment.The software platform of the algorithm was developed by using C++,VC++6.0 and OpenGL graphics library,and the optimization,forming trajectory planning and generation were carried out on this platform.
