The interaction between bottlebrush polymers and phospholipid membranes was studied by using the method of dissipative particle dynamics. This study was mainly by changing the adsorption strength between the bottlebrush molecules and the hydrophilic head particles of the phospholipid membrane and changing the pulling force of the bottlebrush polymers to explore the interaction between the two. Then, calculating the system parameters in this process, such as the radius of gyration, the shape factor, and the order parameters, characterize the interaction between them.By analyzing the data,we could introduce a spring model to explain the changes in the radius and shape factor of the bottlebrush polymers. Also,by analyzing the phospholipid membrane’s order parameters,we would find that order parameters were mainly affected by the movement of the bottlebrush polymers. There was no noticeable change at the rupture of the membrane.Simultaneously, the change in the pulling force of the bottlebrush polymers had no apparent effect on the membrane rupture size. Then we made two sets of summary diagrams of the parameters that change with the pulling force under different adsorption strengths.By comparing the two sets of summary diagrams,we could get an exciting conclusion. As the pulling force increased under the weak adsorption effect, the bottlebrush polymers’ radius of gyration had shown a downward trend. However,it showed the opposite trend under the strong adsorption, and the shape factor and order parameters had no apparent changes. We also explored the movement of bottlebrush polymers with different lengths of chains on the phospholipid membrane by changing the number of particles of the main and side chains. This research is expected to provide some help and reference for the application of bottlebrush polymers in medical treatment.
