Wear is the main factor for the failure of key components of weapon equipment,In order to prolong the service life of key components that are easy to wear,CrNi3 MoVA steel which is used as the gun barrel is easy to wear under special working conditions,as a substrate to develop a high wear resistant coating materials.Tungsten alloys have excellent properties such as high hardness, high strength, high toughness and high temperature resistance, which are widely used in the key fields of aviation, aerospace and weapon equipment. In this paper,W-Ni-Fe-Co was used as electrode material in air and argon atmosphere, tungsten alloy coating was prepared on CrNi3 MoVA steel, high precision balance was used to study the mass transition law between the electrode and the substrate, and the friction and wear properties of the coating and substrate were tested by a friction and wear tester, high precision balance was used to study the mass transition law between the electrode and the substrate, and the friction and wear properties of the coating and substrate were tested by a friction and wear tester, the microstructure and phase composition of the coating were analyzed by SEM / EDS and XRD.The specific research work is as follows:(1)There are more micro cracks on the surface of the alloy,a large number of ?-W particles are accumulated in the coating, and the surface of tungsten alloy coating deposited by electrospark in argon is spray like, the results show that the microstructure of the coating is uniform, and the tungsten alloy coating deposited in the two atmospheres is metallurgical gradient coating.(2)The results show that the tungsten alloy coatings deposited in the two atmospheres have the same phase structure, including ?-W,?-Fe and ?-Fe(W).More W atoms are dissolved in the ?-Fe(W)of the tungsten alloy coatings deposited by electrospark deposition in air.(3)The mass transfer coefficient of tungsten alloy coating deposited by electrospark deposition in air is low,the maximum value is only 50.0%.With the increase of deposition time, the mass transfer coefficient becomes negative. The mass transfer coefficient of tungsten alloy coating deposited by electric spark deposition in argon is higher, with the maximum value of 83.3%.(4)The wear mechanism of CrNi3 MoVA steel is adhesive wear, and the wear mechanism of tungsten alloy coating deposited by ESD is mainly micro cutting abrasive wear and oxidation wear. The tungsten alloy coating greatly improves the friction and wear properties of CrNi3 MoVA steel substrate.(5)The results show that the friction and wear properties of the tungsten alloy coating deposited by electrospark deposition in argon are better than that of the tungsten alloy coating deposited in air. This paper can provide theoretical basis and practical experience for the application of electrospark deposition Technology in the inner wall life extension of barrel parts such as gun barrel.
