| Panax notoginseng,as a valuable traditional Chinese medicine,is vulnerable to diverse pathogens. The fungal isolates from medicinal plants can produce metabolites against pathogenic microorganisms. Therefore,it is important to find molecules with against pathogens from microorganisms associated with medicinal plants.Three fungal strains,Y61-2,B-35 and F17-26,were selected from endophytic and rhizospheric soil fungal isolates of Panax notoginseng on the basis of antimicrobial activity and the diversity of metabolites analysis. They were identified as Penicillium sp.,Talaromyces yunnanensis and Trichoderma koningiopsis on the basis of the molecular and morphological characteristics.Twenty compounds including eight new ones named penciison A-H(1-8)were isolated from the fermentation broth of strain Y61-2.Seventeen compounds were isolated from the culture of strain B-35,and one new compound was named as penicicoumarin J(21).New compound koninginin W(38)and other four known ones were found from the culture broth of strain F17-26.Among the metabolites,10 exhibited moderate inhibitory activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Escherichia coli and Candida albicans with MIC values of64μg/mL,24 against Salmonella typhimurium,Bacillus subtilis with MIC values ranging 64-128μg/mL,and 31 exhibited better inhibitory activity against fungus Candida albicans and moderate activity against bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa with MIC values of 32μg/mL and 64μg/mL,respectively.Compounds 9,10,13and14displayed cytotoxicity against H1299 and MHCC97 cancer cells with IC50 values ranging 1.6-13.9μg/mL,16 showed cytotoxicity against H1299 and MHCC97 cancer cells with IC50 values of 4.7 ng/mL and 5.3 ng/mL. |
