Research On The Impact Of Environmental Accounting Information Disclosure On Enterprise Performance In Steel Industry

During the 14 th Five-Year Plan period,carbon-constrained emission reduction became the focus of future policies.Recently,the central bank,the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Energy and other departments to urgently issue a "carbon neutrality" related action policies,each department has detailed planning to strengthen the effectiveness of energy conservation and emission reduction measures and objectives.the Ministry of Ecological Environment focused on low-carbon technology development and project investment,while the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is committed to reducing crude steel production.In March 2021,Tangshan,as the key base of national steel,has been actively introducing the policy of shutting down several large-scale steel blast furnaces in the region,and shutting down 7 large-scale steel-making furnaces,while restricting the regulation and restriction of electrolytic aluminum,caustic soda,and other energy-intensive industries.China's steel industry accounts for 15% of the country's total carbon emissions,is the highest carbon emissions of the manufacturing industry.Crude steel,as the main body of traditional steelmaking capacity,has a high output in China,with 1.053 billion tons of crude steel production in 2020,accounting for 53.3% of the world's total,which also brings about a series of environmental problems.Iron and steel enterprises transmit their impact on the environment to stakeholders mainly through the external disclosure of environmental accounting information.The disclosure of information includes not only the demand for natural resources and the emission of pollutants,but also the enterprise's environmental protection measures,environmental protection policies,environmental protection performance and environmental protection products.Therefore,improving the disclosure mechanism of enterprise environmental accounting information and promoting the timely and accurate disclosure of environmental accounting information can supervise the impact of enterprises on the environment and promote the sustainable development of China's economy.Under the premise of not violating the national policy,how to maximize the economic benefits and take the responsibility of environmental protection is the problem in front of iron and steel enterprises.Therefore,this paper focuses on the impact of environmental accounting information disclosure on enterprise performance in the iron and steel industry,in order to implement the environmental protection responsibility of iron and steel enterprises and promote enterprise performance.Firstly,this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the relevant research status at home and abroad,clarifies the research ideas,defines the relevant concepts,and combs the relevant theories as the theoretical basis of this paper.Expounds the status quo of environmental accounting information disclosure of iron and steel industry,and studies the role of environmental accounting information disclosure of iron and steel industry on enterprise performance.Taking MG steel iron and steel enterprise as an example,it analyzes the impact of environmental accounting information disclosure on the performance of MG steel iron and steel enterprise.The final result shows that the company's environmental accounting information disclosure will reduce operating costs,financial expenses,and increase operating income,fixed assets,intangible assets,goodwill.Finally,it is concluded that in the steel industry,environmental accounting information disclosure will improve the performance of steel enterprises.At the same time,steel enterprises can play a positive signal role through the disclosure of environmental information,meet the demands of stakeholders,and then improve the performance of the company.Finally,the paper puts forward corresponding suggestions from two aspects of strengthening the environmental accounting information disclosure of iron and steel industry and improving the performance of iron and steel enterprises,so as to strengthen the environmental accounting information disclosure of iron and steel enterprises and improve their performance.
