Titanium alloy is a kind of alloy with many advantages.Compared with steel,it has lower density,but better strength and technological performance.Since the application of titanium alloy,it has become an ideal structural material in high-tech industrial fields such as aerospace and petrochemical industries.It is used to manufacture launch vehicles and aircraft.And the main material of the engine components.However,titanium alloy is used in aerospace industry with many shortcomings in milling process,such as large metal removal,relatively low stiffness and poor workability.Especially,under the influence of cutting force,cutting heat and vibration,thin-walled titanium alloy is prone to problems of tool concession,deformation and surface quality unqualified in milling process.It is difficult to control the processing quality,which makes the titanium alloy can not be widely used in aerospace field.Therefore,the processing characteristics and surface quality of thin-walled titanium alloy components become an urgent problem to be solved.In this paper,the experimental research on the processing deformation of thin-walled titanium alloy parts is carried out.The main contents of the research are as follows:(1)Modeling and Simulation of metal cutting by Advantedge FEM software are carried out.The force coefficients of cutting tools under different processing parameters are compared,and the accuracy of milling force coefficients is verified under the same processing parameters.The experiments are carried out by orthogonal experiment of milling force.The results are analyzed to optimize the processing parameters.(2)The heat conduction model for milling titanium alloy TC4 is established.The distribution and size of milling heat is obtained under different processing parameters through L16(4^4)orthogonal experiment.According to the data processing,the relationship between milling temperature and milling parameters is obtained.(3)By setting different experimental parameters,the typical thin-walled structure parts of titanium alloy are machined,and the effects of the thickness of the workpiece,the length of the workpiece and the tool parameters on the processing deformation of titanium alloy are obtained.Through the analysis,the influence trend of the processing parameters on the processing deformation of titanium alloy is summarized.(4)Through orthogonal milling experiments,the variation of surface roughness and milling parameters of titanium alloy is analyzed,and the sensitivity of each milling parameter to the change of surface roughness is concluded.The variation of surface roughness with milling parameters is verified by single factor experiments.
