In the process of converter steelmaking, the iron and steel consumption is the key factor to restrict the production cost, and the iron oxide content of final slag is an important standard to measure the consumption of iron and steel. As the development of special and high-quality steel, the requirement for cleanliness of molten steel is getting higher. The FeO content of final slag in converter not only affects the yield of steel, but also affects its quality. Therefore, how to reduce the FeO content of final slag in converter has become the key link of cost and quality control of molten steel.converter steelmaking. This topic has important theoretical and practical guiding significance to reduce the FeO content of converter slag.Combined with the production practice of Guofeng 120t converter, the converter operation process, such as slag making system and oxygen supply system,is optimized to improve the hit rate of the converter end point and pushing off the slag, and then reduce the FeO content of the final slag, and finally reduce the consumption of slag and steel. Some conclusions have been drawn as follows:(1)A reasonable slag adding system in converter steelmaking process is put forward, and the basicity of slag is optimized from 3.2?4.0 to 2.8?3.2.(2)The secondary drop lance operation is improved. The temperature is measured and the make sure the furnace temperature is below 1500?,meanwhile,the flow rate of oxygen is reduced to 13500 m3·h-1 and keep blowing for 90 seconds.(3)After the optimization process, the converter final slag(FeO)decreases from 24.03%to 21.55%;correspondingly,the steel material consumption decreases by 1.67kg·t-1,and the refractory cost decreases by 0.71 yuan/ton steel.
