Ball mill is one of the most widely used medium motion crushing equipment in material crushing and pulverizing operations,which has been paid much attention by researchers at home and abroad for a long time.With the development of modern industry,a variety of new high energy ball mill equipment has been emerging,but the relevant theoretical research is still relatively backward.In this paper,the influence of some structural parameters and working parameters on the grinding efficiency of the horizontal planetary ball mill is investigated,which provides a reference for the structural design and working parameters selection of this kind of ball mill.Firstly,this paper expounds the research status of media motion theory of ball mill at home and abroad,summarizes the research status and development trend of ball mill equipment,and introduces the basic theory of particle discrete element method.In addition,the particle mechanics analysis software EDEM and horizontal planetary ball mill to illustrate the working principle,way of planetary motion,has carried on the elaboration of ore crushing power consumption at the same time,the numerical simulation for the horizontal planetary ball mill after laid a solid theoretical foundation,at the same time,this article details the horizontal planetary ball mill movement process,and use the EDEM simulation software.Second,the horizontal planetary ball mill lining board and the cavity was improved,and the material ball than impact energy as an important parameter to evaluate the efficiency of ball mill,with different lining,different cavity simulation and comparison,the final double elliptic groove cavity effect of optimal conclusion,through such as principle of double elliptical cavity volume and dimension optimization,get better cavity and lining board parameters,provide theoretical basis for the following research.Finally,in order to ball mill medium tank and distribution state of mine materials for reference,select work parameters(steel material diameter ratio,the orbital radius ratio),medium filling rate,the revolution and the corresponding level range,the orthogonal experiment method to design the solution,numerical simulation,the simulation scheme of different test with horizontal planetary ball mill unit mass of impact energy(than the impact energy)as the test index,through poor analysis and variance analysis to analyze test index,four experimental factors on the design of horizontal planetary ball mill unit quality improve the extent of impact energy,And the primary and secondary relationship of the four experimental factors on its impact,through a single factor intuitive analysis of the four experimental factors on the impact energy per unit mass,and combined with the distribution of the medium and mineral material,comprehensive consideration of the horizontal planetary ball mill grinding ore material optimal parameter combination.
