With the rapid development of the national economy and the continuous growth of the population, rubber is playing an increasingly important role in meeting the various needs of our daily lives. The butyl and halogenated butyl rubber mainly discussed in this article is widely used in many fields because of its many excellent characteristics. As of 2019,the world's butyl rubber production capacity has reached2.09 million tons.Chinese butyl rubber production capacity in 2019 has reached395,000 tons. However, with the high demand and rapid development of the rubber industry,it cannot be ignored that the rubber industry is an industry with high water consumption.A large amount of organic waste water will be generated during the production and preparation of rubber.Because the composition of the waste water is more complicated and the treatment is difficult, how to be effective the treatment and disposal of this type of wastewater is always a difficult and hot issue for the industry. This article first analyzes the operation status of a certain butyl rubber wastewater treatment process and evaluates its treatment effect. It is concluded that the wastewater treatment process has two sets of systems. The first system has methanol wastewater and rubber pellet wastewater inflow, and the average water volume is from 419.90 m~3/d to 670.52 m~3/d.The second system has three influents of halogenated wastewater,high-concentration wastewater and catch well wastewater. The average water volume range is from 958.03 m~3/d to 1454.37 m~3/d.The second system meets the discharge requirements. With the first system exceeds the designed effluent quality standard.Afterwards, through sampling and testing, the organic pollutants in the wastewater from each section of the process were analyzed, and the main organic pollutants in the wastewater and the current treatment difficulties were determined. This article uses GC-MS to detect,it was confirmed that the wastewater mainly contains tert-butanol, ethylene glycol and three organic pollutants of propylene glycol.Among them, ethylene glycol and propylene glycol are mainly derived from methanol wastewater, and the contents are from 72.47 mg/L to 157.85 mg/L and from 134.18 mg/L to 429.49 mg/L,respectively.Tert-butanol is mainly derived from rubber The content of granular wastewater is relatively stable, ranging from 56.91 mg/L to 88.18 mg/L,but it has not been completely removed with the operation of the system, and it is finally collected into the Reverse Osmosis concentrated water for external discharge.Finally,high-efficiency sludge/leaves biochar was prepared and applied to the removal of refractory organic pollutants in wastewater. The optimal preparation conditions for sludge/leaves biochar were pyrolysis temperature 200?,and the ratio of sludge to fallen leaves was 1:3,the pyrolysis time is 1 h,the iodine value of the sludge/leaves biochar prepared under the optimal conditions is 287.81 mg/g,and the yield can reach85.15%.The sludge/leaves biochar is used to adsorb tert-butanol,and the results show that it is more consistent with the quasi-second-order kinetic equation, and coefficient of determination can reach 0.99993.The three isotherm adsorption equations of Langmuir,Freundlich, and Temkin can better fit biochar adsorption of tert-butanol.The adsorption effect of activated carbon, coefficient of determination are 0.96453?0.99208 and 0.92888,respectively.It can be seen that the sludge/leaves biochar discussed in this article can effectively remove tert-butanol in wastewater.
