Large 2219 aluminum alloy rings are widely used in aerospace,energy,power and other important fields.However,due to the large volume of the ring and the different deformation of each part in the rolling process,the internal grain size is different.In addition,there are different precipitates in the forging,reaming and rolling stages,which will affect the overall mechanical properties of large 2219aluminum alloy rings.In this paper,large 2219 aluminum alloy ring formed by rolling was taken as the research object,and the microstructure of different parts of the ring was characterized and analyzed;There are eutectic Cu Al2precipitates;The mechanical properties of different parts of the ring are different.To solve the above problems,based on the homogenization mechanism of aluminum alloy and Al-Cu phase transformation mechanism,the homogenization methods such as recrystallization,solid solution and artificial aging are tried to reduce the non-equilibrium phase of non equiaxed and eutectic after rolling,improve the uniformity of large 2219 aluminum alloy ring fabric and reduce the difference of Mechanical properties at different positions of large ring;Increasing equiaxed grains and?''In order to improve the overall mechanical properties of the ring.The results of metallographic,XRD,SEM characterization,tensile properties and microhardness test show that the above homogenization process can effectively improve the ring grain structure of 2219 aluminum alloy:except for a small amount of non equiaxed grains in the low deformation part of the center,the other parts have reached equiaxed grains with fine grain size,and the grain range reaches 55?m;The morphology of precipitates tends to be the same,and the precipitates with strengthening effect are formed?'Phase,?''The phase area fraction increased.After homogenization treatment,the hardness difference of 2219 aluminum alloy ring specimen decreases.The results show that the tangential tensile strength increases to more than 400MPa,the axial tensile strength increases to more than 390mpa,and the range of tensile strength is less than 10MPa,which indicates that the above homogenization method is effective to improve the overall mechanical properties of large 2219 aluminum alloy ring.
