Phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes(Ph OLEDs)are composed of multi-layer structures,in which phosphorescent materials are very important because of that they are directly related to the efficiency of electroluminescence.Although the research of phosphorescent materials has made great progress,there are still some issues to conquer,such as low luminous efficiency of red and blue materials,poor optical and thermodynamic stability,and low charge transfer efficiency between different materials.In this dissertation,a series of organoplatinum(?)and organopalladium(?)complexes were designed and synthesized,and their chemical structures and photophyciscal properties were also investigated.Furthermore,complexes Pt(Stpip)L3H and Pt2(Stpip)2L3 with good luminescent properties were selected to fabricate OLEDs devices through solution process and their luminescent properties were tested as well.The main research contents are listed as follows:1.Three binuclear Pt(II)organometallic compounds Pt2(Stpip)2L(1-3)and three corresponding mononuclear complexes Pt(Stpip)L(1-3)H were designed and synthesized.The structures of the six compounds were characterized,and their electrochemical and photophysical properties were systematically studied.In addition,the highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO)and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO)of the six compounds were determined by density functional theory(DFT).Finally,Pt(Stpip)L3H and Pt2(Stpip)2L3were chose to fabricate OLEDs by solution method,and tested their properties.The results show that the maximum external quantum efficiency(EQEmax)of Pt(stpip)L3H is 15.8%(CIE:0.46,0.53).The(CIE:0.68,0.31),indicating that both devices have good phosphorescent emission.2.A novel C^N^N^O tetradentate chelating ligand was designed and synthesized.Two metal organic complexes were synthesized by using this ligand with Pt(?)and Pd(?).The structures of the two metal organic compounds were characterized,and the thermal stability and photophysical properties of the two compounds were determined.
