Microorganisms are small and have a great impact on human life,they widely exist in the air,soil and water.The control and mitigation of the invasion of microorganisms to human has been paid more and more attention.The research and development of efficient,broad-spectrum,durable and low-toxicity antimicrobial materials has become a hot event.Copper,silver,mercury and other metals are well known for their antibacterial properties,which have the advantages of broad antibacterial spectrum,low drug resistance,good heat resistance and long lasting effect.Nano-silver and nano-copper are famous antimicrobial materials for textiles,but copper is one of the trace elements in human body,and its good biocompatibility makes it has a broader application prospect.In addition,copper as an antimicrobial agent has a broader economic prospect because it is far cheaper than silver.Based on our independent research and development of"Metal Nanopowder Macro Fabrication Technology"(MPNP),we prepared nano-copper powder firstly,which has core-shell structure.Then we studyed its antibacterial properties and developed an efficient nano-copper antibacterial agent.Finally,we developed an antibacterial textiles by nano-copper,which has advantages of fastness to washing,non-toxic and high production.Specific research contents are as follows:(1)In order to explore the antimicrobial properties of nano-copper prepared by"MPNP technology",the antibacterial agent of nano-copper liquid was developed by using ultrasonic technology.The antibacterial properties of nano-copper antimicrobial agent were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed by plate counting method after the antimicrobial agent and the tested bacteria(Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus)were co-cultured.It was found that the antibacterial agent had strong antibacterial properties,and the antibacterial rate of the two bacteria reached 100%when the addition amount of copper was 4×10-7g/m L.The whole preparation process is simple,green,and suitable for industrial promotion.(2)Guided by the development of disposable nano-copper antibacterial textiles,we tried to develop medical surgical masks that could not only filter bacteria but also sterilize bacteria.In the context of the international COVID-19 epidemic,the medical surgical masks used in daily only serve to isolate and filter bacteria,but the bacteria already attached to the masks still have the ability to grow and reproduce.Nano-copper was embedded in the fibers of non-woven cloth and melt-blown cloth to make them have antibacterial ability.Scanning electron microscope(SEM)was used to characterize the morphology of the fibers,and the antibacterial properties of the nonwoven and meltblown fabrics were measured according to the corresponding national standards.The results showed that there was no difference in the macroscopic morphology between the antimicrobial surgical mask and the common surgical mask.When the concentration of nano-copper was 0.0003%,the antimicrobial rate against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus reached 100%.(3)On the basis of the successful development of disposable antibacterial nano-copper textile products,further development of a wider range of applications nano-copper textile products with high washable resistance.Considering the difference of different textile fiber structure,four kinds of common textiles,including100%cotton textile,100%polyester fiber,95%polyester fiber+5%spandex and 90%polyester fiber+10%spandex,were selected to prepare corresponding nan-copper antibacterial textiles by green and environmental protection ultrasonic technology.By attaching different concentrations of nano-copper,the optimal amount of antibacterial effect was explored.Scanning electron microscope and oscillation method were used to characterize the morphology and antibacterial properties of antibacterial textiles.The results show that when the concentration of nanometer copper is one part per million,it has strong antibacterial properties,which is in line with the requirements of high efficiency and environmental protection.(4)In order to explore the specific washing resistance characteristics of nano-copper antibacterial textiles,100%nano-copper cotton textiles were selected as the representative to carry out washing resistance test.By simulating washing machine washing mode,the 100%cotton textiles treated with nano-copper at concentrations of 5×10-6 g/m L,1×10-5 g/m L and 2×10-5 g/m L were washed,and the antimicrobial properties were measured after washing.The results showed that the nano-copper on the textiles did lose during washing.The 100%cotton textiles treated with nano-copper at the concentration of 2×10-5 g/m L can withstand 100 washes,and the antibacterial rate can still reach 99.6%after washing.Through washing test,the reliability of antibacterial textile preparation process was confirmed.The developed civil antibacterial textile can meet the vast majority of use durability requirements.Under the guarantee of preparation process,nano-copper antibacterial textile products can also be developed for some extreme use durability requirements.
